The higher the process temperature, the higher the technical requirements for the temperature machine. Decades of experience in the production of machines for working with coolant oil up to 400°C make us the preferred partner of many customers for applications in the fields of pressing and extrusion.
The dimensions of the teko tt/th series thermostats are based on the requirements of DIN 4754. Accurate temperature calculation combined with flow control ensures efficient and at the same time reliable operation in all operating conditions. A lockable filter in the return line of the circulating medium is a standard installation; another installed element is an expansion tank with a cold oil tank for reliable protection against oxidation due to the accumulation of oxygen in the coolant.

At temperatures above 200 °C, thermostats designed for operation with an oil coolant are usually used. During the operation of the oil coolant, various criteria should be taken into account that affect the design of oil thermostats.
The oil coolant in the hot state has a low resistance to oxidation. With direct contact with the surrounding air, as with cheaper water thermostats in the case of a tank and a submersible pump, due to the reaction with
oxygen in the air, the viscosity of the medium increases. The oil becomes more and more viscous, the amount of flow decreases. Since a certain flow with a reliable control function is not possible in "open" thermostat designs, oxidation further reduces the required flow rate, which can lead to exceeding the permissible temperature on the heater.
The consequence is the local formation of carbon and deposits of tar-like layers in the heat transfer system. In the shortest possible time, the oil decomposes and the flow passage becomes clogged. The manufacture of defective products, the appearance of defects, and, consequently, high repair costs are a consequence of improper investments in thermostats that are not designed for long-term use in critical conditions.
It is for this reason that gwk refuses to produce oil thermostats with an open circuit by "budget" cost. The range of gwk teco tt and th thermostats is designed specifically to meet the special requirements that are imposed during production at high temperatures. The specific thermal load on the surface is distributed in such a way that, with normal flow, thermal decomposition of the oil coolant can be avoided. Built-in flow control device when its the decrease signals this, and the system shuts down. In order to avoid decomposition of the oil coolant under the action of oxidation, it is necessary to prevent oxygen from entering the circulation system. Optionally, a nitrogen layer can be provided in the closed circuit of tt thermostats in the expansion tank above the cold oil layer. The optimal design allows the thermostat to be used at a temperature of 300 °C, and the th model even up to 350 °C.
