Application of profiles from XPE

XPE profiles are mainly used in the technical field and in
the industrial packaging sector. Foamed polyethylene is a versatile and extremely flexible material, suitable for any shape.

In the industrial packaging sector, XPE foam profiles are primarily used as a protective agent against impact and abrasion of fragile and delicate products such as glass, televisions, audio equipment, computers and printers during their transportation.

Applying profiles from XPS

XPS profiles are used to make sports equipment, such as safety armrests for children, suitable for swimming pools and the sea, decorative ceiling skirting boards.

Styrofoam profiles are not flexible, like polyethylene, but rather rigid. For extrusion lines for XPS profiles, a calibrator of sufficient length is required after the extrusion head to calibrate the profile and cool it gradually.
